Washington D.C. art galleries and museums are everywhere! One would expect there to be museums in the nation's capitol: the Smithsonian museums, the Holocaust Museum, American Indian Museum, Air & Space Museum, maybe even the National Gallery of Art. However, did you know that there is a thriving art community and local artists display their products in numerous galleries throughout the city. National Gallery of Art
From the Middle Ages to the present, the National Gallery of Art houses one of the finest collections of sculptures, decorative art, paintings, photography and works on paper in the world. There are many permanent collections as well as exhibits on tour. |
